That Was The week That Was

Thanks to some great teams this week Firstly M&S: those action plans should be humming by now. And Microsoft Thurs+Fri: well done especially to the gentleman with the cool hair-cut who decided (and took action) to give up smoking. Work those action plans now!

Hugh gets book deal..

Hugh wrote a fantastic document called How To Be Creative. It's free and available via his post here. The additional good news is that Hugh's going to up-date it and make it even better and it'll be out as a book. But don't wait: read the original now and you can revise with the new book in six months or so.

4 Minutes

I had four minutes on Radio 4's PM programme last night where I was (respectfully) grilled on Beat the Recession 2008. On the question of 'surely we are not in a recession?', my response is (1) quantitatively maybe not, but qualitatively definitely yes (2) why wait until it's too late to do domething about it? and (3) our leaders will do their damndest to deny it: of course. Preparing for recession is simply making your business more effective.
